STAND UP FOR LOVE

Labour day and another show of state brutality

A preemptive strike that killed the dialog and sanity

What's some broken windows and slogans smeared against hate

To an eye lost to rubber bullets of an impotent state

    But we all

Will stand up for more love in this world

Stand up for more love in this world

Stand up for more love in this world

    Stand up for love

It's not easy, these are complicated times we live in

No simple answers, no clever four letter rhymes to sing in

The state must be trustworthy and answer to it's citizens

And work for prosperity and health for all, not just the businessmen

We all need compassion we need empathy and truth

We must look out for the old, the sick, the poor, the youth

So let us march together for peace love and harmony

Calling the police stupid, is much to simple to be true

The chief's to blame, education's the game, for justice to come through

They're just human but it's nobody's job to be an arsehole

But an eye for an eye just sends the hate-spiral out of control
